Applicants Privacy Statement

Faber Group considers the careful dealing of personal data to be of great importance. Personal data is processed in a careful and secure manner according to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable laws and regulations.

Applicability 

When you apply for a job at Faber Group BV or at one of the affiliated business units (hereunder specified), the specific business unit where you apply will become the data controller of your personal data acc. to art 4 (7) GDPR (hereunder each individually referred to as ‘we’ or ‘us’).  

In this Statement, we explain amongst others which personal data we collect and use, for what purposes, how long we use the data, how we deal with third parties and your rights under the GDPR.  

The Use of Personal Data 

As a website visitor 

When you visit our website, Faber Group collects the following data automatically on our server: 

  • IP address of your device; 
  • URL or file requested; 
  • Date and time of your visit; 
  • Status information, e.g. error messages. 

This information will only be stored by us to the extent necessary, and only for as long as necessary, to serve the requested content flawless and safe to you. We do this on the legal basis of legitimate interest. Our interest is amongst others to protect our website against unauthorized access. 

As an applicant 

When you apply for a job with us, Faber Group BV, or the respective business unit where you apply, processes the data that is relevant for your job application, which is: 

  • Master data (first and last name, titles if any, nationality); 
  • Contact details (private address, telephone number, email address); 
  • Date and place of birth; 
  • CV and/ or motivational letter; 
  • Degrees/ diplomas; 
  • Soft skills data; 
  • Assessment reports, if applicable; 
  • Bank account number, if and when applicable to reimburse travel expenses. 

This data is processed on the legal basis of contractual relationship and on the basis of legitimate interest, in order to assess whether you are a suitable candidate for the applied job.  

Security 

We secure all personal data appropriately on the website and in our systems with technical and organisational measures, according to the latest state of the art security measures, to protect the data against accidental or unlawful alteration, destruction, loss or unauthorised access or disclosure.  

Retention periods 

We keep your personal data for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Statement, or until you withdraw your consent in the events where this is required.  

Your personal data will be stored according to the retention period applicable in the relevant country, as of the end of your application period.

In the event you would like to be considered for other (future) job options within Faber Group BV or one of its affiliated business units, your data can be kept longer upon your explicit consent. 

Third-party and third-party websites 

We provide your personal data only to those intra-group entities and those third parties when this is required by law or when there is a proper agreement in place.  

Personal data will only be transferred by us to third parties located outside the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA), when there is an adequate level of protection set for this country by the European Commission or when there is another data protection mechanism in place, such as internal binding corporate data privacy rules or EU-standard contractual clauses. 

This Statement does not apply to third-party websites connected with this website by links, which parties are not data processors. We cannot guarantee that these third parties deal with your personal data in a reliable or safe manner.  

Cookies 

A cookie is a text file that is sent along with pages from this website and is stored by your browser on the hard drive of your device. For an up-to-date list of the cookies we use, we would like to refer you to our Privacy and Cookie Policy on our website www.faber.group.  

Your rights under GDPR 

According to the GDPR, you can make use of the following rights in respect of the processing of your personal data by us: the right to access, the right to rectification, the right to erasure, the right to restrict processing and rights in relation to automated decision-making and profiling. You may also withdraw your consent, if given, at any time. 

Information about your right to object

You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you, which is based on the legal ground of legitimate interest; this also applies to any profiling based on this provision within the meaning of art. 4 (4) GDPR.


If you object, we will no longer process your personal data, unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.

Furthermore, you also have the right to call up your personal data in order to transfer these to a different organisation (data portability). You may also file a complaint, if you are of the opinion that we have not complied with the rules for the processing of your personal data. 

To exercise of one of these rights, you may contact us via the contact details hereunder. The exercise of these rights is at no costs for you. We might contact you to verify your identity. We shall reply to your request within 30 days.  

You may also file a complaint at your local Data Protection Authority. 

Amendments to this Privacy Statement 

We reserve the right to make amendments to this Statement. We will inform you of any update by changing the date of this Statement.
